Changes to MyPost Business lodgements

Just a heads up about some changes from Australia Post for you MyPost folks.

Here’s a concise outline of the changes Australia Post is implementing:

• Pickup windows (effective 15 October 2024):
  • Reduction to one 'same business day' and one 'next business day' pickup option.
  • Same business day: Orders must be placed by 1:00pm for pickup between 9:00am-4:00pm that day.
  • Next business day: Orders must be placed by midnight for pickup between 9:00am-4:00pm the following day.
• Packaging declaration requirements:
  • Misdeclarations of packaging will result in additional postage charges.
  • Australia Post will check that packaging type and item dimensions match the declared packaging.
  • Additional postage will be charged to the MyPost Business account for misdeclared items.
  • The outstanding amount must be paid within 28 days.
• New 'sleeve' for mailing tubes:
  • Mailing tubes must now have a compulsory 'sleeve' for safe automated sorting.
  • Mailing tubes without sleeves may experience delivery delays.

Auspost say that these updates are aimed at improving efficiency and maintaining safe operations.
